Oven-Baked Corned Beef Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 (4-5 lb) flat-cut corned beef brisket
  • 4 tbsp meat rub
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275 degrees F to get started.
  2. Discard the flavoring packet that comes with the corned beef.
  3. Massage the seasoning rub all over the outside of the brisket.
  4. Lightly coat the meat with olive oil before adding the rub for extra flavor.
  5. Place the brisket on a rack set inside a roasting pan.
  6. Cover tightly with aluminum foil to keep the moisture in.
  7. Roast in the preheated oven for several hours until the meat is tender.
  8. One hour before serving, take the brisket out and glaze with BBQ sauce.
  9. Slice the brisket against the grain and serve.
